Ross Johnston

Dr. Ross Johnston is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Utah Tech University, where he teaches courses in intermediate accounting I, accounting internships, accounting practicum, advanced accounting, and financial accounting & reporting.
In addition to his research and teaching, Dr. Johnston is serving as chair of the Graduate Council Committee, serves on the Exception to Policy Committee for the university, serves on various college of business committees and is the MACC program director. He also serves on the State of Utah CPA Education committee and actively serves on community boards and committees including The DOVE Center and Valley Academy Charter School. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is FSA credentialed, and a member of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board.
Dr. Johnston has over 25 years of industry and governmental experience in accounting and brings that experience and passion into the classroom for teaching and mentoring students in the language of business. He is committed to the success of his students as they pursue careers centered around accounting and business.
